Here's a good old Japanese proverb: "If you believe everything you read, better not read."

Progress in women's rights seems to be taking a beating overseas. Check out how the Bangladeshi National Women's sports programs are being gutted because those pose a threat to Islamic sensitivities.

It's a shame the US won't sign the International Anti-Personnel Landmine Treaty, but it is worth noting that no other country donates as much money as the USA when it comes to landmine clearing projects.

This one is just plain creepy. What proud parent would want that sitting on their desk?

It looks like Bush's trip to Canada may attempt to mend some fences, but he will not address the Canadian Parliament for fear of heckling from the ranks. Wow, what a brave leader. Bush is scared of a few angry Canadians? Who'd ever heard of such a thing!

And the Aussies have come up with a great idea to keep you from getting in trouble when you're drunk.
